At Personal Best Performance Coaching, the goal is simple: help you discover what you’re truly capable of — in the gym and beyond.

Whether you’re brand new to strength training or chasing a platform PB, I provide the structure, support, and skill development you need to train with purpose.

Hi, I’m Kathleen Beggs — strength coach, competitive powerlifter, and someone who knows firsthand how training can change your life.

I first stepped into the gym 17 years ago to improve my BMX racing performance, but I found something far more meaningful: a passion for strength training that has shaped my career and my purpose. Seven years ago, I began competing in powerlifting, eventually representing Australia on the international stage at IPF Worlds.

Alongside my athletic journey, I completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a PhD in Chemistry — and I bring that same attention to detail into my coaching, with a focus on biomechanics and creating truly individualised programs.

I work with clients both in-person and online, and my coaching philosophy is rooted in one idea:

“Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach him to fish, feed him for a lifetime.”

I want you to be able to walk into any gym, feel confident, and know exactly what to do — without relying on someone to tell you every rep.

For lifters who want to master technique and programming face-to-face, then carry it forward with online coaching

★ 6 weeks of in-person sessions to build your foundation
